Energy Retrofit Incentives
PDF Print E-mail

OPA 'saveONenergy' Program

Implemented energy conservation measures are subject to incentive rebates through three available tracks:

Prescriptive

Select from a defined list of end-useĀ measures that come with a corresponding per-unit incentive. Examples include upgrades to lighting, motors, unitary A/C, etc. If projects involve upgrading existing equipment, the incentive amount would depend on the type, efficiency and quantity of equipment installed.

Engineered

Consists of a series of preset calculation worksheets that estimate reductions in peak demand and/or electricity consumption that apply to the installation of more energy-efficient equipment or solutions. Incentives will vary based on selected measure.

Custom

Technology, equipment and system improvements are evaluated on their demand and energy-performance with incentives paid after installation and once the savings have been measured and verified.

Lighting incentives based on $0.05 per kWh or $400 per kW demand savings.

Non-lighting incentives based on $0.10 per kWh or $800 per kW demand savings.

Applications must be pre-approved prior to measure implementation to be subject to rebates available.

Enbridge Retrofit Incentives

Approved and implemented energy-saving measures are subject to receive $0.10 per m³ of gas saved, up to $100,000.

Prescriptive rebates available for replacing a number of gas-consuming equipment and appliances such as tankless water heaters, heat recovery ventilators, heating and hot water boilers, and shower heads among others.
