Site Evaluation and Feasibility Analysis
PDF Print E-mail

The success of any renewable energy project begins at its inception. Prescribing the appropriate technology for a particular site is essential to truly realize benefits from renewable energy. A subject site's surrounding natural environment should be conducive to the operation of renewable energy technology to make it a worthwhile investment.

IESC provides an on-site screening evaluation at the outset of any renewable energy project to determine whether certain technology is practical for the subject site. This exercise determines the best renewable energy options to undergo prefeasibility assessments and prevents wasting resources and time to investigate nonviable options.

IESC provides independent prefeasibility assessments as a deeper investigation of the technical viability of a renewable energy project. A favourable prefeasibility assessment is essential prior to a following comprehensive feasibility analysis.

The feasibility assessment includes system modelling and simulation integrated with financial scenario evaluation. The results provide clear financial metrics and system performance factors necessary for investment decision making. Local regulatory requirements, operating costs, risk analysis, and cash flow impacts are also explored in a feasibility analysis.

IESC studies include: solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, micro-hydro, biomass and geo-exchange projects. Built on years of experience in North American and European markets, our leading-edge tools and methodology are based on industry best practices.
